Weed control is an important part of farm and ranch management. This publication is prepared with an emphasis on weed prevention. Becoming aware of the potential for invasive plants to be introduced is the first, and perhaps the most important part of weed control. Successful prevention activities stop weeds from being introduced to previously un-infested areas. If, however, undesirable plants have been introduced, either accidentally or intentionally, this document provides some suggestions for reducing the possibility of the plants becoming established, and if established, how their local spread can be reduced.
